Inspired by the Bible’s account in the Book of Joshua when Joshua sent two spies to go look over the land of Jericho and upon entering the city, Rahab, a Canaanite woman, hid the two spies from the king of Jericho on a sworn oath that she and her family would be saved when Joshua and the Israelites come back to conquer Jericho. Her oath was a prayer to save herself and her family which was indeed answered by God.

Joshua 2:12-13

“Now, therefore, I beg you, swear to me by the Lord, since I have shown you kindness, that you also will show kindness to my father’s house, and give me [c]a true token, 13 and spare my father, my mother, my brothers, my sisters, and all that they have, and deliver our lives from death.”
